Summer Camp Assistant Health Supervisor at Sky High Ranch

Make a difference in the lives of children and spend an unforgettable summer in the Rocky Mountains! Sky High Ranch is located forty-five minutes west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Activities include arts and crafts, backpacking, boating, horseback riding, zip lining, farm with ranch animals, dance & drama, archery and sports, low-ropes, international cultures, nature and science, astronomy, homesteading, gardening, and outdoor skills. Sky High Ranch is licensed by the State of Colorado and accredited by the American Camp Association.

Summer camp is a great way to add work experience and desirable skills to your resume - especially for those pursuing a degree in education or recreation!

Dates of Employment: June 1- July 22

This role will be provided with Room & Board, Meals, 48 hours sick leave.

Pay Rate: $85/day

Assistant Health Supervisor General Duties:

  • Assist in provide health services for the camp. These duties include but are not limited to:
    • Supervising the care of all cases of illness and accidents to campers and staff
    • Operate the health center and maintain supplies and equipment
    • Supervise the general health and safety of campers and staff
    • Supervise the collection, dispensing, and return of all camper medications
    • Record any treatments of campers in a daily log including routine medications and treatments
    • Communicate necessary medical information to campers' families
    • Consult and advise campers and staff as necessary about medical needs.
  • Work under the regular supervision of the Camp Director and the technical supervision of GSCO nurse, and/or licensed physician who is on call.
  • Work plans are developed with the Camp Director in conjunction with camp plans and policies
  • Must be at least 21+
  • Must hold a non-restricted US driver's license, and ideally have at least 5 years of driving experience.
