Lone Star Paving is a paving contractor, operating in the Central Texas region with paving crews, HMA, aggregate, trucking, milling, and quality control. Our operations complete heavy highway and civil projects throughout Texas. Position Overview

The Equipment Pressure Washer will work closely with the Maintenance. Quarry, Hot Mix, and Trucking Teams to ensure company-owned tools, equipment and vehicles are always cleanly and operational, consistent with direction provided by his/her direct manager.

The ideal candidate has experience with understanding of paving, quarry, hot mix, and transportation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company truck attached to pressure washer trailer.
• Pressure wash machines in the quarry and at hot mix plants.
• Occasional requirement to drive pressure washer equipment to the roadsides to clean machines that have overheating issues.
• Evaluate cleanliness of equipment and fleet vehicles located at the Yard, construction job sites, and roadside, collaborating with the Equipment Manager and Heavy Paving Equipment Mechanic in alerting to defective equipment.
• Following a standard maintenance washing schedule developed collaboratively with the Equipment Manager, perform routine washing maintenance on company-owned tools, equipment and vehicles. Ensure that maintenance washing is performed on schedule and to standard.
• Before departing work each day, ensure that the pressure washer equipment itself is clean, in good working order, and well maintained.
• Additional responsibilities as may be assumed or assigned from time to time in support of our company's effort to achieve client loyalty.

Qualifications

• • Must possess an active TX driver's license with clean record.

• Trade school or 1-2 years of qualified experience
• Work experience with transportation, milling, quarry, and hot mix machines
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset
• Must be positive, friendly, and professional
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety policy, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
• Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
• Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Ability to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
• Must demonstrate professional communication in reaching out to employees and managers for needed documents
• Willingness to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as they arise
• Exhibit excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize various tasks and complete them in a timely manner
• Able to perform duties independently
• Working knowledge of asphalt production and associated equipment, and an understanding of operations and safety requirements is preferred
• Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulations, a plus

Working Conditions

• Be available for overtime, extended hours, night shifts, and weekends as required
• Some travel may be required as our operations span throughout Texas
• Work will be performed in both a general warehouse environment,construction site environments, and roadside environments, which could include but not be limited to inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Must be able to move over rough terrain on project sites
• Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
• Proper PPE is required at all times.
• Requires periodic participation and attendance at company events and meetings
