Job Description
Description What We’re Looking For Travelpro is lookin for a motivated and detail oriented
Demand & Purchasing Planner to join our Supply Chain team! This is a great opportunity for someone with
advanced Excel skills , strong communication, and a willingness to learn the ropes of demand planning and inventory management.
If you're someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on organization, and communicates clearly and effectively — especially in keeping the wheels turning across multiple teams — this could be the role for you.
Who You Are - You’ve had 2–3 years of experience in planning, purchasing, finance, or operations—enough to know your way around the data but still eager to build expertise.
- You’re really good at Excel—formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, maybe even some light macros.
- You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable working in environments where priorities shift.
- You’re confident communicating with a range of stakeholders—from team members to suppliers.
- You enjoy being the behind-the-scenes glue that makes a cross-functional process like S&OP run smoothly.
- You’re not afraid to ask questions, roll up your sleeves, and grow your skills.
What You’ll Do In this role you will support the
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, help keep our inventory finely tuned, and collaborate with cross-functional teams like Sales, Finance, and Operations. You will also:
- Develop, update, and monitor demand forecasts based on historical sales, promotional plans, and seasonal trends.
- Use Excel-based tools to model inventory, analyze trends, and support purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the team to generate and track purchase orders, ensuring alignment with lead times and inventory needs.
- Participate in the S&OP process—gathering inputs, supporting scenario planning, and helping keep communication flowing across teams.
- Communicate with internal teams and vendors to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Help prepare clear and concise reports or summaries that guide supply and demand decision-making.
- Identify data or process issues and bring forward solutions—you're not expected to know it all, but you should be curious enough to dig in.
- Support ad hoc projects that might touch operations, planning, or purchasing.
What You’ll Need - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a demand planning, purchasing, or supply chain-related role.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, lookups, etc.).
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems is a plus (we use JDE EnterpriseOne).
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is nice but not expected—if you’re curious about automation, we’ll teach you.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you’re as comfortable drafting a status update as you are chatting through an issue in a meeting.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple moving parts without losing track of details.
What You'll Gain - Mentorship and development in S&OP, demand planning, and procurement strategy.
- Exposure to real-world planning challenges in a consumer goods environment.
- A team that values your input, encourages learning, and helps you grow.
- An opportunity to play a key role in keeping the business running smoothly—without needing to be a forecasting guru on day one.
