Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a strong understanding of HR processes and systems, along with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Located in Rohnert Park, California, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the human resources function in a government setting. Responsibilities: - Administer and manage HR systems, including ADP Workforce Now and other HRMS platforms, ensuring accurate and timely data entry. - Conduct background checks and auditing processes to maintain compliance and integrity within recruitment operations. - Assist in the management of benefit functions, including enrollment and queries, while providing excellent customer service to employees. - Support e-recruitment processes by maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS) and ensuring a smooth hiring workflow. - Handle employee records with confidentiality and precision, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. - Collaborate with other team members to improve HR processes and implement best practices. - Provide guidance and assistance with payroll systems such as Ceridian and About Time. - Monitor and respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and practices. - Perform regular audits on HR data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. - Assist with onboarding new employees, including orientation and training coordination. Requirements - Proven experience with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and other HRMS platforms. - Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and e-recruitment tools. - Strong auditing skills and the ability to manage relevant processes effectively. - Knowledge of benefit administration and related processes. - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities. - Experience in payroll systems and processes, including About Time. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
