Job Summary The RN Supervisor, Nursing Services provides leadership, direction, and coordination of nursing care in the assigned department. This role oversees clinical and operational activities, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care. The Supervisor is responsible for managing nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Essential Functions Manages the daily clinical and operational activities of the nursing department, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established care standards. Provides direct supervision to full-time, part-time, and PRN nursing staff, supporting professional development through training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Oversees staffing schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage based on patient volume and acuity, while maintaining productivity and budgetary standards. Develops, implements, and revises nursing policies and procedures to align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by monitoring patient care, initiating improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ensures that nursing staff have the necessary resources, information, and support to deliver high-quality patient care. Conducts quality assurance reviews, evaluates performance data, and implements changes to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency. Manages clinical resources, including supplies, equipment, and personnel, to optimize patient care and minimize waste. Leads and participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives, supporting organizational goals and regulatory standards. Oversees the integration and supervision of clinical affiliate students, ensuring compliance with educational agreements and fostering a learning environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of nursing experience required 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of nursing care standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in patient safety. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and nursing management software. Ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff schedules effectively. Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
